ESD Packaging

We supply metallized film as a component to ESD packaging.  This type of film has to meet exacting optical density standards.  The way we operate our vacuum metallizers allows us to apply a thin aluminum spray evenly across the web so we can meet these exacting standards and supply a high level ESD component.

Cryogenics

The cutting edge use of metallized film for Super Insulation applications in the cryogenic industry fits into our custom job mindset.  Our proprietary technology (Crynsulate) allows even distribution of aluminum across the web at a high optical density level and low Ohms resistance.  We custom manufacture orders into 10lb rolls of this highly specialized film to meet customer needs.

Decorative Products

Our metallized film is a key eye catching component in a myriad of decorative products, from High Gloss balloons you would find at a carnival to a high end graphic on a consumer packaged good.  Decorative metallizing was the original intent of adding aluminum to a substrate and Rol-Vac has the expertise to continue to supply many companies in this industry.

This industry regularly uses glossy/smooth substrates which makes metallizing them a challenge.  Our singular focus on metallizing allows us to align with our customers exacting specifications to find the best metallizing solution.

Insulation

Metallized film for the insulation market has many different applications.  Our metallized film is used in cryogenic insulation applications along with insulation in the aerospace industry.  Metallized insulation has also become a way to reduce heating and cooling costs in residential houses.  We are adept at metallizing thin films with a heavy deposition of aluminum in a vacuum chamber.  This has made us a leader in the metallized insulation market.

Microwave Packaging - Susceptor

Our decades of experience in the susceptor market have given us the ability to metallize to an even deposition across the entire web.  We have a low tolerance of .02 +/- throughout a maximum 86” diameter.  We also have the ability to slit down to 2” bobbins in house.
